Mrs Elaine Howard, BA (Hons)
I am principal and co-founder with John Howard of KUDOS TRAINING LIMITED (est 1988) We offer well-recognised courses with clear progression routes right up to a PostGraduate Diploma all within the range of Management and Business studies. from level 3 to level 7. These may be taken through full-time, part-time and distance studies, and we are flexible and sensitive to the needs of our students and today’s busy life-styles.
As a former senior lecturer and course co-ordinator with a large college of higher and further education in London, I also acted as course tutor in charge of eight courses and headed several lecturer teams covering Psychology, Structure of Business, Office Procedures and Communications. Apart from my teaching, this involved counselling and guiding approximately 250 students both pastorally and educationally within the departments of Advanced Business Studies and Office Skills and Technology.

Before becoming a qualified lecturer and gaining my degree, I worked for some years in publishing – moving within general and specialist magazines, a group of national newspapers, and a national daily. I undertook many interesting and challenging positions both journalistic and secretarial and enjoyed the busy life of a journalist. I had previously gone through several secretarial roles. One of these . involved working as personal assistant to the Managing Editor of a large group of newspapers.. .
My earlier teaching and lecturing experience ranged from running my own nursery school for five years, through to teaching at a girls’ secondary modern school. working with graduates at a large private college in Central London and finally becoming senior lecturer at a large college of Higher and Further Education (see above).
Turning to qualifications: I hold the Certificate of Education from the University of London,
BA Honours Degree from the Open University and I am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society. I have spent many years researching the methodology of teaching and learning and enjoy putting this work into practice. The Doctorate for which I studied is still waiting to be completed – as I am so busy with the college! But it will eventually be completed!
I conclude with this my final message: Kudos Training college remains flexible and dedicated to helping all students to achieve their chosen aims, and encourages them at all times to reach their full potential. We are particularly proud of the consistent success achieved in Internationally-recognised qualifications in the past and now, with our new Awarding Body, we are looking forward positively to the future”.
