On Saturday 10 April we were delighted to host a Celebration Day from noon onwards. The weather was beautiful and our Kudos “home” at The Sanctuary – a lovely 19th Century listed building in Surbiton – looked its very best – set amongst the trees with plenty of daffodils and sunshine. This certainly underlined the celebratory atmosphere.
After a long hard winter we had decided that there were three very important achievements and reasons for us to celebrate:
· To welcome our new awarding body, enabling them to meet us again talk, with our students, and ensure that everyone was fully conversant with the strength of links between us all.
· To honour past students for the achievements of their BA Hons degrees taken with our support as an accredited provider.
· To present the well deserved awards and diplomas at the end of the academic year.
After welcoming all our visitors Elaine and John Howard introduced the Chief executive of ATHE and his two associate directors: Joshua Jones, and Joseph Jones.
Mr Arthur Jones, Chief Executive, explained that although ATHE was a relatively small awarding body, it had developed and progressed over several years to its present position, with worldwide links through a very wide network of educational bodies and a selection of UK universities recognising the quality of all ATHE courses and with whom strong collaborative agreements are in place giving students the very best opportunities for progression academically and professionally.

During his talk Arthur Jones read out a letter from UWIC (University of pf Wales) welcoming the new collaborative partnership now existing between UWIC and ATHE and which would also bring to light the largely unseen work of quality education providers like Kudos Training which may appear modest in size, but is a giant in terms of emphasis on quality reinforced by Elaine at its helm through professionalism and understanding.
We were particularly pleased that the Chief Executive and his associate directors from ATHE were able to come a long way to introduce themselves and ensure that the audience learned about the work of ATHE. The audience clearly appreciated his talk, and we noted excellent networking during the afternoon.
All the presentations went very smoothly and then came the opportunity for photographs, congratulations, drinks and a buffet lunch – which everyone pronounced as delicious. The party finally closed at around 5pm. If you would like to see more watch this space – the new Kudos website is going “live”during the week commencing 19th April. Please be in touch.

Thanks are definitely due to our helpers – buffet assistance, our video technical man, our roving reporter and those who continue to support us in all our endeavours. Finally the last word by Email on behalf of the directors of ATHE:
“Just a quick note to say how much we all enjoyed your event on Saturday. We all thought it was refreshing to see people who share the same passion about education as ATHE. Look forward to speaking to you soon. Kind regards – Joseph Jones, Centre Liaison Director”
Elaine Howard,
Principal.
